We answer your phone, so we handle call recordings, transcripts, contact details, and the texts Haley sends — for you and on your behalf.
We use that information to run the service, book the jobs, and bill you. We don't sell your data, and we don't sell your customers' data. Ever.
You can ask what we have, ask us to delete it, and opt out of texts anytime. The long version below spells out the details.
This Privacy Policy explains how Ask Haley ("Ask Haley," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our AI receptionist service, visit our website, or talk to Haley on the phone. By using the service, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.
Two groups of people interact with Ask Haley, and we treat both with care:
When Haley answers calls for your business, we generally act as a service provider (or "processor") handling caller information on your behalf and under your instructions. You are responsible for telling your callers what you collect and getting any consent the law requires. More on that in Section 09.
We use information to:
We may use de-identified or aggregated data (which can't reasonably identify a person) to analyze and improve how Haley performs.
Because Haley is a phone receptionist, calls are recorded, transcribed, and summarized so the service can work and so you have a record of what was said. This is core to what Ask Haley does.
Haley sends texts — appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups — to callers and to you. Standard message and data rates may apply.
We share information only as needed to run the service:
We do not sell your personal information or your callers' personal information. We also don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete data sooner (see Section 10), subject to legal limits.
When you use Haley to handle your callers, you agree that you will:
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email hello@askhaley.com. We'll respond as required by law and may need to verify your identity first.
If you're a caller and want to exercise a right about information tied to a specific business, we may direct your request to that business, since they control that data.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work hard to keep your information safe and to address issues quickly if they come up.
Ask Haley is built for businesses and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Ask Haley is based in the United States and processes information in the U.S. If you use the service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be handled here, under U.S. law.
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll give you a heads-up. Continuing to use Ask Haley after an update means you accept the revised policy.
