Terms of Service

The deal, written so you can read it.

Last updated: October 8, 2026

The short version

You pay $497/month, flat. No setup fee, no contract. Haley answers your calls, books appointments, and texts your customers.

Love Haley in the first 30 days, or cancel and walk away. No questions, no hard feelings. No refunds: when you cancel, the Service runs through the end of your paid month.

You're responsible for using Haley legally — including consent for recording and texting your customers. The numbered terms below are the binding part.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you, or the business you represent ("you"), and Ask Haley ("Ask Haley," "we," "us," or "our"). They cover your use of the Ask Haley AI receptionist service and website (the "Service"). Please read them. By using the Service, you agree to them.

01Who can agree

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you're agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms. "You" then means that business.

02What the Service does

Ask Haley provides an AI-powered phone receptionist that answers calls for your business, has natural conversations with callers, books appointments, captures lead details, and sends text confirmations and follow-ups. We configure Haley using the information you provide about your business.

The Service relies on third-party technology (voice, telephony, scheduling, messaging, and payments). We may improve, change, or replace parts of the Service over time, as long as we don't materially reduce the core function you're paying for.

03Setup & getting live

We aim to have Haley live and answering within 48 hours of receiving what we need from you. That timeline depends on you giving us accurate business details and access promptly. You keep your existing phone number; we route calls to Haley — all of them, or only the ones you miss, as you choose.

04Fees & billing

  • Subscription: $497 per month, billed in advance, automatically renewing each month until you cancel. No setup fee, no contract.
  • Other services: other Ask Haley services (such as the Review Engine or website builds) are billed at the price shown at checkout, under these same cancellation and refund terms.
  • Authorization: you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method for these fees and any taxes.
  • Taxes: fees don't include taxes, which you're responsible for where they apply.
  • Failed payments: if a charge fails, we may retry, pause the Service, or suspend the account until payment is resolved.
  • Price changes: we may change pricing, but we'll give you advance notice before it affects your next renewal.

05The 30-day guarantee

We stand behind Haley. Love her in the first 30 days, or cancel and walk away. No questions, no hard feelings. To cancel, just email hello@askhaley.com.

What the guarantee means: you can leave within your first 30 days for any reason. There are no refunds: when you cancel, the Service continues through the end of the month you've already paid for, then stops. The guarantee applies once, to your first 30 days.

06Cancelling

You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing month. Email hello@askhaley.com. We don't lock you into long contracts. Fees already paid for the current period aren't pro-rated or refunded. When you cancel, you keep the Service through the end of your paid month.

07Your responsibilities & acceptable use

You agree to:

  • Give us accurate setup information and keep your account details current.
  • Use the Service only for lawful business calls and contacts you're allowed to handle.
  • Get any consent the law requires — including for recording calls and for sending text messages — and provide any notice your callers are owed.
  • Comply with applicable laws, including the TCPA, call-recording and wiretap laws, and do-not-call rules.
  • Not use the Service for spam, fraud, harassment, illegal activity, or anything that infringes others' rights.
Regulated industries: if you operate in healthcare, dental, legal, financial, or another regulated field, your calls may involve sensitive or protected information. The standard Service is not designed for protected health information and we are not a HIPAA Business Associate unless we've signed a separate agreement. Talk to us first if this applies to you.

08Not for emergencies

Haley is a receptionist, not an emergency service. The Service is not designed for life-threatening situations and does not replace 911 or emergency responders. Anyone facing an emergency should hang up and call the appropriate emergency number.

09Your data & content

You keep ownership of your business information and the caller data Haley handles for you. You grant us the rights we need to operate the Service — to process, store, and transmit that information to run Haley, support you, and improve the Service (including in de-identified form). How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.

10Our intellectual property

Ask Haley, the Haley name and persona, our software, website, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms don't give you any ownership in them — just the right to use the Service while your account is active and in good standing.

11Third-party services

The Service connects to third-party tools (such as your calendar or phone carrier) and runs on third-party infrastructure. We're not responsible for those third parties' acts, outages, or terms. Your use of a connected tool is governed by that tool's own terms.

12Service availability & AI limits

We work hard to keep Haley running, but we don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available 100% of the time. Haley is AI: she's good, but she can misunderstand, mishear, or make mistakes. You're responsible for reviewing bookings and important details, and the Service is a tool to assist your business — not a guarantee of any particular result, revenue, or number of booked jobs.

13Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

14Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASK HALEY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR MISSED CALLS OR JOBS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

15Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ask Haley from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your callers, or your failure to comply with these Terms or the law — including consent, recording, and messaging laws.

16Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Service anytime (see Section 06). We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, don't pay, or use the Service in a way that creates legal risk or harm. When the agreement ends, your right to use the Service stops; sections that should survive (like fees owed, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification) continue.

17Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing anything, we both agree to try to resolve disputes informally — email hello@askhaley.com first. If that doesn't work, the dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and we each consent to that jurisdiction.

18Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll give you reasonable notice. If you keep using the Service after an update takes effect, you accept the new Terms.

19The rest of the fine print

  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
  • Severability: if a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver: if we don't enforce something right away, we don't give up the right to later.
  • Assignment: you can't transfer these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale.
  • Force majeure: neither side is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
  • Notices: we'll reach you at the email on your account; reach us at hello@askhaley.com.
